Community Facility - Social Media Centre

The Social Media Centre is supported by Charlestown and Lower Kersal New Deal for Communities and operated by Manchester Community Information Network, a not for profit social enterprise.

The Social Media Centre will provide a place for the local community to develop rich media content which will be placed on the Chalktalk website. The centre will provide courses and drop in facilities to assist the development of content as well as providing equipment and support. It is envisaged that the centre will be operational by April 2008.

Business Support

Tenants of the Innovation Forum who are establishing a new business will be eligible for start-up support, funded through the NDC and delivered by local enterprise agency Salford Hundred Venture.

Existing businesses should also contact Salford Hundred Venture to pick from a menu of business support options including training and specialist advice, some of which will be available free of charge.
